The stuck-at fault: it ain't over 'til it's over

چکیده

The stuck-at fault model has existed for nearly 40 years [1]. In that time, it has been applied to a large number of interesting and challenging problems in the test area, including IC and board level fault modeling, test generation, failure isolation, and fault diagnosis. Back in the days of bipolar technologies, there often existed an isomorphism between instances of stuck-at faults and actual defects due to the peculiarities of the behavior of failing bipolar ICs.

Long-term follow-up in cancer prevention trials (It ain't over 'til it's over).

The update of the Study of Tamoxifen and Raloxifene by Vogel et al. (beginning on p. 696 in this issue of the journal) highlights the overall importance of long-term follow-up of cancer prevention trials, which need long follow-up to fully determine agent risks and benefits. Biomarkers (e.g., reduced cervical intraepithelial neoplasia 3 after human papillomavirus vaccination) can provide an ear...

"It Ain't Over 'til it's Over": Rethinking the Darwinian Revolution.

This paper attempts a critical examination of scholarly understanding of the historical event referred to as "the Darwinian Revolution." In particular, it concentrates on some of the major scholarly works that have appeared since the publication in 1979 of Michael Ruse's The Darwinian Revolution: Nature Red in Tooth and Claw. The paper closes by arguing that fruitful critical perspectives on wh...

A generalized ABFT technique using a fault tolerant neural network

In this paper we first show that standard BP algorithm cannot yeild to a uniform information distribution over the neural network architecture. A measure of sensitivity is defined to evaluate fault tolerance of neural network and then we show that the sensitivity of a link is closely related to the amount of information passes through it. Based on this assumption, we prove that the distribu...

NPR1 in Plant Defense: It's Not over 'til It's Turned over

NPR1 is a key transcriptional coregulator in plant defense responses. In this issue, Spoel et al. (2009) demonstrate that proteasome-mediated degradation of NPR1 in the nucleus promotes efficient expression of defense response genes following infection and prevents spurious activation of defensive responses in the absence of infection.
